About
Why this exists
If you live outside Europe and want to work here, two things stand between you and a job: the language the work is done in, and the right to work in the country. Ordinary job boards help with neither. They show you thousands of roles with no way to tell which ones you could actually take.
Meanwhile the search results for “visa sponsorship jobs” are full of operators charging fees for guaranteed job offers. Those are scams. Every one of them.
This site does two small things honestly. It tells you which jobs are advertised in English, so you know which ones you can read and apply for. And it shows you exactly what the employer said about sponsorship, including when they said nothing.
What we found
We built this expecting to filter jobs by visa sponsorship. Then we measured it. Across five sources and tens of thousands of European job adverts, almost none mention sponsorship — and most of the ones that do are saying they will not offer it.
That is a fact about European hiring, not a gap in our data, and we would rather tell you than pretend otherwise. The language filter is the one that genuinely narrows thousands of jobs down to the ones open to you. The sponsorship labels are shown wherever they exist, which is rarely.
Where the jobs come from
Two kinds of source. Employers who publish their open roles through a public applicant tracking system, and national employment services that publish their vacancies as open data — currently Arbetsförmedlingen, the Swedish Public Employment Service, whose data is released into the public domain.
We do not scrape job boards that forbid it, and we do not copy listings from other aggregators. Job titles are shown exactly as the employer wrote them, including when that is not English. How this site works explains the labels.
How honest we are being about size
This site is new and small, and currently weighted towards Sweden, because Sweden is one of the few European countries that publishes its vacancies openly. More countries are the work in progress.
What we do not do
We are not an immigration adviser. We do not give advice about your situation, your eligibility, or your application — in several European countries that requires a licence, and we do not have one.
We are not a recruitment agency. We do not place anyone, we have no relationship with these employers, and we never see your application. Every apply button goes straight to the employer’s own site.
We never charge job seekers. Not now, not later.
Who runs it
One person, as an independent project. If something here is wrong, or an employer wants their listings removed, write to hello@jobsinschengen.com and it will be dealt with.
